There isn’t much about this Lakers season that LeBron James will want to remember, but over the weekend, King James made significant NBA history. In the middle of the second quarter of Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards, James took a pass from teammate Stanley Johnson, drove through the lane, and converted a layup that bumped him up to second on the NBA’s all-time scoring list , passing Utah Jazz Hall of Famer Karl Malone. That leaves Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only player in Association history who has scored more points in their career than the King, and considering that LeBron is currently averaging nearly 30 PPG, it’s quite likely that LeBron is sitting atop the NBA scoring mountaintop by this time next year.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. How many of the NBA’s top 30 career scorers, including LeBron and three other active players, can you name in five minutes?
