It’s time to return to the beautiful grass courts of All England Club for the oldest tennis tournament in the world: Wimbledon 2023. Some of the biggest names in tennis will take part in The Championships this year, including the world number one for women and French Open champion Iga Swiatek and world number one men’s Novak Djokovic fresh off the court to claim his 23rd Grand Slam title at the French Open. Djokovic will defend his 2022 Wimbledon title this year, where he is expected to clash again with Carlos Alcaraz, this time in the final. Djokovic has not lost on the Wimbledon lawn since 2017. If he wins Wimbledon again in 2023, Djokovic would win eight championships at the All England Club, tying Roger Federer.

Four days after the Grand Slam on the grass field, there have already been some major setbacks in the tournament. Coco Gauff, the No. 7 seed, lost on Day 1 to unseeded compatriot Sofia Kenin. No. 4 Casper Ruud defeated Laurent Lokoli despite doubts about his abilities on the grass court. Venus Williams suffered an injury during her match against Elina Svitolina, and although Williams was able to finish the match, she failed to win against Svitolina.
