When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?
Prime Day 2023 is on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 and Wednesday, July 12, 2023. It begins at 3 AM ET / 12 AM PT on the 11th and ends simultaneously on the 12th. (Last year it was also on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.) Keep in mind that many other online retailers are trying to get in on the action, so sales often start a little earlier at places like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Sephora and more. Last year, Amazon Prime Day also started early with deals starting about a week early, which could also be on the table this year.
What’s new for Prime Day 2023?
There are always recently released gadgets and gizmos to jump on, and you can expect deals on new and older products like Apple Watches and Beats headphones, shopping expert Trae Bodge tells Yahoo Life. Even the latest models like the Amazon Echo Show 15 may be on sale.
Some of the biggest discounts are likely to be for the home, such as small appliances and smart home devices, Bodge says. This means it may finally be time to invest in that hot air fryer you’ve been wanting for ages.
What will be on sale for Prime Day 2023?
Actually quite a lot. Amazon has pretty much everything on sale for Prime Day, but there are some categories with particularly good deals. “Amazon is offering significant discounts on electronics during Prime Day, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, headphones and smart home devices,” Michelle Madhok, online shopping expert and founder of deals site SheFinds.com, tells Yahoo Life. “Prime Day is also a great time to buy home and kitchen appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, blenders and air fryers.”
Madhok says you can also expect deals on fashion and beauty products, such as makeup, skincare, bags and shoes.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is a massive savings event exclusive to Amazon Prime members. If you’re not a member, you can sign up now for a 30-day free trial so you can start saving well in advance. If you want to wait, you can sign up for Amazon Prime at any time, including during the event itself. However, it’s best to get a head start so you can focus on your shopping.
How to find the best Prime Day deals
While Prime Day is packed with sales, Bodge points out that you shouldn’t assume you’ll always get the best deal. “I would do some pricing research to see where the item is being sold and for how much,” she says. While Amazon is a hotbed for deals, other retailers will be offering impressive discounts around this time as well.
“You can use Google Shopping or the Camelizer, a browser plugin that provides historical prices for items on Amazon,” says Bodge. “Another handy browser plugin is CouponCabin.com’s Sidekick, which can test a bunch of coupons for you at checkout. If there’s a valid code, those savings will be applied to your purchase.”
