The Oklahoma Sooners capped their record-breaking season with a 16-1 win against Texas on Wednesday and a 10-5 win on Thursday to win the Women’s College World Series. The title is the fifth for Oklahoma softball in the last nine years.
Texas needed a win Thursday to force Game 3 in the best-of-three series and started strong with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. But Oklahoma’s Jayda Coleman ended the inning by robbing the Longhorns of what would’ve been a two-run home run.
