Jeudy arrested on criminal tampering, domestic violence charges

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was arrested Thursday and taken into custody by the Araphaoe County Sheriff’s office, according to
multiple reports.

According to police, Jeudy is being held on charges of second degree criminal tampering and domestic violence.

Jeudy, 23, was Denver’s first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and finished his rookie season with 52 receptions, 856 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. An ankle injury kept him out of action for a chunk of his second season, and he finished 2021 with 38 receptions for 467 yards with zero touchdowns.

Earlier in the offseason, the Broncos acquired nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson in a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks. With Wilson added to the fold, there are high expectations for the Broncos’ receiving duo of Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.

“He’s a great quarterback, Hall of Fame quarterback that came into the offense as a leader and [is] getting me better as well,” Jeudy said of Wilson earlier this month. “So he’s going to help me a lot this year.”

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos are aware of the situation and gathering more information.
