Jenna Jameson is married!
The actress and former adult film star, 49, married her friend Jessi Lawless, 40, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on May 23.
“I found the person I really should have always been with,” Jameson tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“I try to think through my mind why I ever dated or married men, and it’s a selfish and bad thing to say, but I think my driving force was kids,” explains the mother-of-three. “And now that I’ve really found myself, I just accept whatever I feel inside and don’t push everything down.”

The newlyweds exchanged vows at Nevada’s Little Church of the West, which has special meaning to Jameson since it’s the same place where her parents said, “I do.” The couple will host a bigger wedding when the time is right, but for now, they’re “running it and shooting it,” as Lawless describes. “All of Las Vegas.”

Jameson, planning to legally take her wife’s last name, walked down the aisle to Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” in a short white dress with a long veil, pink platform shoes and hair dyed pink.
“My dad walked Jenna down the aisle, ever since her dad passed away,” explains Lawless, who wore a black suit for the affair.

“I was standing there waiting for her, and I looked at the back of the church and I saw her standing there. I looked at my dad and said, ‘Daddy, now walk Jenna down the aisle.'”
Instead of an Elvis Presley impersonator, the couple enlisted a Johnny Cash look-alike, who married the couple. After the ceremony, the newlyweds toured Vegas in a neon green Lamborghini they rented for the day.
“We went to Red Rock [Canyon] and drove over there and took some pictures and we just hung out with our family and had fun,” says Lawless.

As for how the two complement each other, Jameson, who calls herself “Jessi’s Girl” on Instagram, says they are “very different” but make a good team.

“I’m kind of balls to the wall and I’m riding the wave of my emotions,” shares Jameson. “I just want what I want. And Jessi is very reserved and she thinks everything through, so it’s definitely a good network because she’s grounding me and I’m lighting a fire under her a**.”
The pair first connected last year after Jameson discovered the social media personality on TikTok and started commenting on her page. Lawless admits it took her a while to realize who Jameson was. “I was like, ‘Who is this Jenna that can’t lose?'” she recalls reading the star’s social media handle. “It’s Jenna fucking Jameson. Oh my god.”

Adds Jameson, “I had a crush on Jessi for a long time because she’s pretty big on TikTok and I love TikTok. I just scroll at night when I’m trying to calm down, and I just loved her take on things, I had to do with So I started commenting on her en masse to get her attention, and it seemed to have worked.”
Lawless explains that she had a girlfriend at the time and did not respond to Jameson’s advances because of her “moral compass,” but when the Born lawless the podcast host’s previous relationship ended, she responded and the pair began dating in January. And now t
hey’ve done their first official photo shoot as a married couple for Swimsuit illustrated.
“I knew I was going to get what I wanted,” Jameson agrees, adding, “She was worth it. But she was a challenge and I’m very driven when it comes to challenges, so I knew I just had to lie and wait.. And she came back around.”

“I was like, maybe she just wants to have some casual encounters,” says Lawless. “But I’m glad it’s moved to a more serious level, and I’ve never felt so comfortable with anyone.”

Further expressing her love for the New York Times bestselling author Lawless says there’s nothing like being in Jameson’s “inspiring” company that feels like “home.”
“The moment I was in her presence, there’s something about this woman. There are no words to describe the energy she has, but the moment I was in her presence, I was like ‘Oh, fu** .This woman was made for me.’ Everything about her felt like home.”
Lawless continues, “She’s probably the strongest human being I’ve ever met in my life.”

After getting engaged in April, the couple decided they didn’t want to wait to say “yes.”
“I proposed to Jenna two months ago and I did it in the privacy of our own bedroom,” says Lawless. “We were in bed and we were just talking, and I had the ring, I had the ring for a minute, and I reached for my nightstand and I pulled it out and walked over to her side of the bed. I went on one kneel down and tell her she was the most incredible woman I’d ever met and that I couldn’t think of anything better than for her to be my wife.’
Adds Jameson, “The future looks incredibly bright and I’m so excited to embark on this adventure with Jessi.”
