Keke Palmerhis boyfriend, Dario Jacksonhas returned to social media after being criticized for his comments about her sheer outfit.
Jackson, 29, had quietly deactivated both his Instagram and his account Twitter profiles on Thursday, July 6, shortly after sparking online outrage for throwing shade at Palmer, also 29. Jackson, who has been dating Palmer since 2021, was unhappy with the revealing dress she wore to a recent Guard concert in vegas.
“It’s the outfit that… you’re a mom,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet on Wednesday, July 5, reposting a video of Palmer dancing on the show.
Jackson added in a second post: “We live in a generation where a man of the family does not want his children’s wife and mother to show spoils to please others and he is told how much of a hater he is. This is my family and my representation. I have standards and morals for what I believe. I rest my case.
Social media users quickly chimed in to the controversy, condemning Jackson for shaming Palmer’s choice of outfit.
“I just want to say I don’t know Keke Palmer’s boyfriend. I don’t really know anything about him except the current one, but let me just say I hate that man,’ Kimora Lee Simmonsdaughter Aoki said in a since-deleted TikTok video Thursday, per Entertainment tonight. “I pray and plot a plan for his demise. I hate him. I’m disgusted. I think when my friend told me that and we just sat… I was like ‘What?’ I’d love the chance to slap that man. … I am shocked. No carriage.’
Palmer has yet to speak publicly about the drama. When Jackson returned to Twitter and Instagram, eagle-eyed fans noticed that all previous posts with Palmer had seemingly been deleted from his profiles. Jackson’s most recent upload – shared in June – is a solo photo of him with the couple’s son, Leodis Andrellton, whom they welcomed back in February.
Palmer and Jackson were first coupled in the summer of 2021, nearly two years before announcing they were expecting their first baby.
“There are some rumors going around, people have said in my comments, ‘Keke is having a baby, Keke is pregnant,’ and I want to set the record straight – that’s me,”
she joked during her Saturday Night Live monologue in December 2022, revealing her baby bump for the first time. “I mean, I tried so hard to keep it down because I have a lot of things going on, you know? People kept coming to me [and saying,] ‘Congratulations.’ I’m like, ‘Shhh, can you guys stop, I’ve got a booze sponsorship on the line. Let the check be clear and then we can go to the goddamn baby shower!’”
She continued at the time: “But honestly, this has been the biggest blessing, and I’m so excited. Boys, I’m going to be a mom! Even though some people feel a little weird that I’m having a baby because I was a child actor, I just want to say, ‘Look, I’m 29, I’m an adult, I’m having sex [and] I have a house. … You know, things adults do.’”
Despite her friend’s criticism, Palmer shared more snaps from her evening in Sin City. Several stars have since taken to the comment section of the Instagram post to praise her impressive postpartum physique.
“Can I borrow this outfit @keke? Because if it makes me feel almost as good as you look and feel after the baby, I’m ready.” Jessie J – who gave birth to son Sky in May – gushed on Friday, July 7. “You are GLOWING and INSPIRING and HOT OFF. A mother. A boss. A star.”
