Bobby Wagner calls out Seahawks over handling of release


On the surface, one-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Russell Wilson and All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner reacted to their differing exits from the Seattle Seahawks by expressing admiration for the organization and region. Wilson, who will officially be traded to the Denver Broncos when the new league year opens next week, tweeted he was “forever grateful” to the Seattle faithful, while Wagner and the Seahawks both took to the social media website to thank each other following his release on Wednesday. 

Eyes were raised, however, when reports surfaced Thursday claiming that Wagner could ultimately sign with a different NFC West team and, thus, face the Seahawks at least twice next season. On Friday, the 31-year-old returned to Twitter to call his former employer out for apparently not being the first to let him know his services were no longer required in the Emerald City:
