Introduction to the RIPS Summer Internship 2024

The applications for the RIPS Summer Internship 2024 are now open. The Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) program is a fully-funded internship opportunity that runs

for nine weeks in the United States. This program is specifically designed for international undergraduate students and recent graduates who are not U.S. citizens. 

Participating students will have the opportunity to work collaboratively in teams on real-world research projects. The RIPS program offers a unique and exceptional opportunity for talented students from all over the world to gain hands-on experience in research while working on real-world projects. Through this program, students can expect to gain valuable skills and knowledge that will help them in their future careers.

The location of the internship is Los Angeles, California, 90095, United States. The RIPS-LA internship runs from June 24 to August 23, 2024. Each student team will be assigned a mentor. Interns will research the problem and present the results, both orally and in writing, at the end of the program. All the expenses will be covered. The subjects that will be covered during the internship include computer science, statistics, and mathematics. The mentors will provide guidance and advice to the students throughout the program. The interns will also be encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities and develop their skills. Finally, the interns will be given a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

Eligibility Criteria for the RIPS Summer Internship

  • Foreign students (studying in the US or abroad) are eligible
